I decided to take on this subject based on the huge reaction I received from an Instagram and Facebook post I made on June 24/20.

In the body of the post, I talk about how in North America we have lost that respect and often mistreat our elders. In other cultures and in the past, we respected them and looked to their wisdom for guidance.
What happened? Why this change? I do a shallow dive - not too deep - on many different possibilities on what has happened.
